Our Leadership
Since 2010, Fr. Patrick has been the Rector and Dean of St. John’s Parish and Cathedral. Born and raised in Dallas, TX., Fr. Patrick received a BA in English from the University of Texas in Austin in 1990 and completed his Masters in Divinity from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin in 1994. He has served as the Assistant Rector at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, as the University Chaplain at LSU, and as a church planter in The Diocese of Tennessee. Before moving to Quincy, he and his wife, Catherine, founded and directed a youth development organization in Clarksville, TN, called “The Food Initiative.” Dean Smith currently serves as a member of The Salvation Army’s Advisory Committee and as the Chair of the Commission on Ministry for The Diocese of Quincy.
